Bamboo Root Duck with Blue Painted Boots 25cm

These bamboo animals are hand carved in a family based workshop using the root of the giant bamboo. The giant bamboo is plantation grown and highly productive; a 50-foot bamboo pole, once harvested, can re-grow in 50 days. Their features are also hand carved, using off-cuts of teak bought as recycled waste from local furniture workshops.
